change the system, transform the self

About the event
Recent protests are challenging our congenital disease of institutional racism and unaccountable unceasing state violence against African American individuals, families, and communities. The experience of uniformed terror has plagued Black, native and brown communities for generations. The fact is, in many ways the system is functioning just as it was designed to. George Floyd's police murder reveals just one aspect of a system that works for a few; while dehumanizing many and diminishing us all.
Racial Justice Brooklyn (RJBK) is in action to change this systemic epidemic of unchecked violations of human rights.
Your RSVP (http://bit.ly/BLMforum) connects you to more than just an online gathering. Registering connects you to opportunities for action and a resilient possibility for changing our communities, changing the world, and changing ourselves.
RJBK is a working group of GOBK, that has been working on addressing healthcare (#sharethehealth), hate crimes, education, criminal justice reform and more; all through a racial justice perspective. Please show up and take action.
