united in dignity & hope
protest performance & collaborative community conversation

Time & Location
Jun 10, 2018, 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
lincoln terrace park, E New York Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11213, USA
About the event
same streets; different realities. we live in different worlds,
even though we share the same neighborhoods.
what symbolizes safety for some is deadly for others. racial disparities in our community exact a terrible cost.
indifference or hostility toward each other and the use of volatile,
unpredictable police tactics have failed us.
many of us cannot trust the very institutions that are supposed to “serve” and “protect,”
while others misuse the police to enforce a false sense of safety.
so what now?
come share time & positive space in the park .
we’ll have warm but candid conversation among neighbors, family, friends & accomplices.
we’ll explore alternatives to the misuse of #911 & actions for police accountability.
we’ll use protest performance to resist the current violent status quo
& imagine a better future.
